If you go down to the makeup- room basement, you will find a group of highly sophisticated and devoted escape room makers working on their quintessential escape room. You might be able to feel the pure concentration and exitment all the way from out on the corridor. They have been grinding to finish the escape room just in time for todays visitors.

If you go down to the makeup- room basement, you will find a group of highly focused and concentrated 8. graders intent on making on their gruelling and flawless escape room. The have spent most of this week writing intricate and elaborate riddles to use as clues for their escape room.

I had the pleasure of talking to Mark from 8i and breifed me on the process of creating and building their own escape room. “So the whole process started with that we had to find a theme for our eacsape room. Because halloween is drawing nearer we picked to make a halloween storyline for the escape room.”

He explained how and why they chose the room for the scenearie. “We had to chose a room that is not usually being used , there fore we chose the makeup- room in the basement because it is a room with many possibilities and resources that can be used to decorate and reformulate the room into an unblemished escape room.”

Mark told said “i expect about 15 people will succeed in escaping but something like 20 to enter our escape room.” He also explained that the main subject of their focus was planning out who would be on shift at the different times. This was challenging seeing as the needed to plan it out to fit the whole team and their members’ sports activities after school.
